Of The Child...

It is said that each one of us comes into this world with gifts and knowledge beyond our understanding

As adults and keepers of the children, we must be aware of what their early behavior or even misbehavior is giving us:

A premature and precious peek into what they are to become and the awesome power and responsibility to recognize, evaluate and to assist in the shaping and even reshaping of their fragile and young spirits.

Be aware of the child who talks too much in class.

For she might one day be a great leader who speaks of things that inspire and shape the world.

Be aware of the little guy who tells jokes during Math, English and all that falls in between.

For he might one day be called upon as the great comedian who will bless us with the healing power of laughter in a time of great sorrow.

Be aware of the boy child who can't seem to sit still and must run as if mere walking is unbearable.

For he might one day be the fastest runner in the Olympics or the man who was fast enough to save the child who walks unknowingly into the path of danger.

Be aware of the little girl who seems quick to action and determination when an injustice befalls one of her friends.

For she might one day be called upon to lead our nation in a fight against inequality and inhumane matters.

Be aware of the little scribbler who seems to see every blank space as a canvas calling out to her. She simply must mold, shape and manipulate any object that she can get her tiny hands on.

For she might one day be chosen to restore beauty to a world that has been bleakly transformed by the devastating strokes of man’s war and destruction.

Be aware of the child who seems to only know anger and despair

For he might one day be chosen to share his story of change and glory with someone who is as lost as he once was.

Be aware of the little girl or boy who is a natural seeker of knowledge, a connoisseur of the words: what, when, how, where, and why? And, as if that is not enough, he or she must simply share all of what they have learned with whomever is willing to listen.

For he or she may one day be the teacher… who pulls the chain

That turns on the light bulb

Suddenly blinking precious understanding on in the mind of a child

Whom everyone else wrote off as un-teachable.

Be aware of the children who seem to keep their heads in the clouds, daring to dream of possibilities that the world around them deems impossible.

For they might one day be the change that is needed to insure the survival of the human race.

BE CAREFUL WITH THESE YOUNG PEOPLE FOR WE ARE GETTING THEM AS DIAMONDS IN THE ROUGH!

The child who seems to talk too much needs a time to speak.

The child who seems to joke too much needs a time to laugh.

The child who just can't seem to keep still needs a time to move, to run, to dance.

The child who seems determined to save the world needs a time to help others heal.

The child who seems magically drawn to blank spaces needs a time to create.

The child who seems consumed with anger needs only to be given the knowledge that he holds within him the power not to be angry.

The child who consumes and shares knowledge as if it is a favorite meal needs a time to teach.

The child who seems to dream the impossible dream needs a time to become.

Be aware

Of The Child!
